Keeping your dog happy on Bonfire night
October 27, 2022Many pubs, restaurants, hotels and B&Bs all welcome dogs and with some of the UK’s most beautiful beaches on our doorstep, dogs are bound to have the greatest of tail-wagging times. Now you can share even more with your dog on a day trip or holiday with our Doggie Dippers.
Watching dogs experience the sea for the first time or curling up at your feet while you enjoy a cream tea can make all of life’s stresses melt away. According to many dog psychologists, new experiences will help to encourage your dog’s mind to stay fit too.
Here, at The Happy Mutt Company, we do everything with our dogs. From shopping to hiking and from picking the kids up from school to spending a day in the office – our best friends are always with us.
And we want you to feel you can do the same which is why our treats are great for training your furry friend to be at its best behaviour so you can relax and enjoy sharing your time together.
By rewarding your pooch with our specially designed packaged treats, they’ll become the pawfect travelling companion.
Here are some helpful tips to start your training to get your dog out and about easily:
- Firstly, get your dog used to the car. Start by letting them sit in it while it’s parked and then introduce short trips – rewarding them all the time with reassurance and one of our peanut butter covered treats
- A great thing to invest in is a dog crate. Dogs feel much safer when they’re enclosed and will happily sleep while you eat up the miles
- Dogs bolting in a new place can be very stressful, so use our delicious treats to train your dog to come when called. This is really important when walking across the countryside. You don’t want a Benson moment
- When visiting pubs and restaurants, walk your dog around the place so it can get an idea of its surroundings. Once you’ve found a table, make sure you reward your pooch when it settles down. Eventually they’ll be snoozing at your feet
